You feel more energized when you spend at least 20 minutes outside in fresh air. Go for a walk, alone or with your spouse or a friend. Or go to the park, the beach or in your garden or on your balcony. One study found that spending 20 minutes outside in good weather broadened thinking, improved working memory and boosted good mood. And when you go for a walk with somebody else you will talk and make plans.
